Hypnotherapy, NLP & Coaching
Some of our students achievements and testimonials since graduation :-
A testimonial from Dr. Eugene D'Souza
As a psychiatrist working in the NHS, I found the humanistic emphasis of this course very refreshing. Matt's informal and friendly style was really engaging and I left the course feeling that I had experienced a paradigm shift with regards to working with clients. Therapeutic optimism can be a casualty when working with complex cases with limited resources in an often impersonal public health set-up. Cynicism can gradually creep in. The principles of NLP and hypnotherapy I have learnt here were an empowering corrective. The setting is beautiful and Jan is a real whiz in the kitchen!

A testimonial from Diane MacDowall Dip. LC (Inst LC)
Since her training with us Diane has incorporated all of the most powerful and effective techniques she's learned and applied so successfully to her own life over the last 4 years and into her own unique version of the hugely successful workshop "Feel the Fear ...And Do it Anyway", the registered trademark of Susan Jeffers Ph.D. which is being used with Susan's express permission. These workshops are licensed and based on the teachings of Susan Jeffers Ph.D. as contained in her international bestseller "Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway ® " . . Diane has extensive experience in leading workshops, classes and groups and has delivered motivational talks based on this international bestseller since 2006. This is what Diane had to say about her training with Motivation Training:
"I'm fascinated with, and passionate about, the power of the mind and the incredible difference self-belief and a positive attitude to life can make, so I decided to develop my skills even further with the Motivation Training to allow me to incorporate hypnotherapy and NLP into my coaching business. It's made an incredible difference in the level of support I can now offer my clients."
Here is a story about Dianne's talks 'Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway' :
"When the flyer advertising my talk appeared in my inbox 2 weeks before the event, I knew it had been sent to over 520 women. At first I thought "Oh my God - no going back now!", but it took me less than 5 minutes to turn my fear and nerves into excitement and anticipation. Prior to the talk I stayed calm with the use of self-hypnosis and visualisation. I filled my subconscious mind with positive "can do" statements and kept re-affirming to myself that not only could I do it, but that I could excel at it. On the day itself my nerves were still in check but I began to wonder when my nerves were going to appear. I said to myself "Great, my nerves are going to appear in full force the moment I stand up to speak!". When I was introduced I received a round of applause and just went into full flow. My subconscious not only remembered everything, but my talk went even better than I had visualised - in fact it was like a dream come true. I forgot nothing, my body language and pitch were perfect, I never became tongue tied, I had the timing absolutely spot on to the minute and kept full control of the group of just over 40 women at all times - it all just flowed like magic! I had them laughing, interacting, nodding their heads at everything I said and wanting to share their experiences. Towards the end of the session, I even donned my very best hypnotherapy voice, asked them to close their eyes and relax and I did a 4 minute Guided Visualisation with them which left them all in a wonderfully relaxed state - it was fantastic!! After my 1.5 hour talk, at least 30 people signed up for my groups and evening classes (which are now booked out completely!) and to thank me personally. Afterwards when I sat in my car I said to myself "Did I really just do that?"", and at that point I actually started shaking! Yes - I had most definitely done it!! The self-hypnosis had kept me completely in control of my thoughts and actions throughout the entire experience, and more importantly, I enjoyed every single moment of it. Absolutely tremendous, and I'm now looking forward to speaking for them all over the Highlands .

A testimonial from Sharon McKay
Sharon McKay runs a very successful business called Mind Coach – here's what she has to say:-
One of the most rewarding outcomes of the excellent training with Motivation Training was the opportunity to help others, educate, inform and share the benefits of using these quite amazing processes with people from all walks of life. On completion of my training I set up my private practice “mindcoach”. It's now about to enter it's third year and it's been the most humbling and rewarding thing I've ever done in my life. My youngest client was eight years old and my oldest seventy eight. Working with the general public is so varied and interesting. People are fascinating, and there is nothing on this earth more rewarding than the ablility to make someone's life better. Introducing hypnosis and NLP to the corporate world and persuading them of the benefits to their business was quite a challenge, but one that also has produced good results. It just works!
Here is what some of Sharon 's clients have to say:-
Gordon Hart Managing Director BT Local business SALES PERFORMANCE
Neuro Linguistic Programming
“Dear Sharon, I am writing to give a big thank you on behalf of Colin and myself. Whilst I was personally a bit sceptical of the whole idea I decided to give it a try. The end results have been nothing short of dramatic. Your system has taken an individual who had within him the ability to deliver but always somehow fell that bit short. I was most impressed with the way you tailored your product to exactly match our sales requirements. Delivering emphasis on “Closing Techniques” was exactly what I was looking for. I am delighted to allow the publication of this reference and would welcome enquiries .”
Amanda, Health Visitor Cumbernauld FEAR OF FLYING
“Thank you from the bottom of my heart, from me and my family. I remained cool and calm throughout the entire July flight despite the turbulence! Now, for the first time in years I can look forward to a winter holiday in the sun. Flying? It's a breeze now.”
Louise's daughter Lanark LEARNING DIFFICULTY
My daughter has special needs and although she was desperate to read again after losing this ability during a year long debilitating illness nothing we did was bringing this ability back. She had 1 session and after 4 weeks the results are terrific she is reading signs in shops and other external signs like shop names etc, she has read a paragraph from her favourite serious of books. She is even writing again and better than she was before her illness. This to us as a family is far more important than my weight loss from the sessions with Sharon . In fact it's gave us our daughter back. She is so confident now that her old skills are returning and allowing us all to forget the terrible year just passed. I am so grateful to Sharon for all her help and would advise anyone with any doubts to pick up their telephones and make that call."

A testimonial from Karen Darke BSc; PhD;
Since her training with us two years ago, Karen Darke has developed the skills and the confidence to work for herself as a motivational speaker, hypnotherapist and coach.
She says "The training offered a solid base of practical and theoretical learning, alongside the coaching and support that are cornerstone to Matthew's style of teaching.
Prior to doing the Motivation Training course, I worked in learning and development as part of the HR team for a large multinational. Although I enjoyed this, I wanted more "hands-on" experience of working with people and supporting them in their development. The combination of hypnotherapy, NLP and coaching have given me the skills to do that.
Matthew's coaching also helped me get pen to paper and write my first book, "If You Fall."!

A testimonial from Anna Pollock
Anna Pollock has been working as a Management Consultant for 8 years focusing on personal effectiveness, team working and one to one coaching. She is also a part time lecturer in Organisational Behaviour/ Business Communications and delivers conference workshops in her subjects for clients such as Oxford University and Sothebys Institute of Art. She says " my work is very wide ranging but my overriding aim in everything I do is to help clients realize their full potential. I already had a solid training in coaching methods when I discovered Motivation Training, but what I was looking for was new ideas for helping the specific clients I have who feel 'blocked' or 'stuck'. The training I received with Motivation Training went well beyond my expectations. Not only did I discover a whole new level of coaching to offer my clients, but the impact on my own personal effectiveness was profound. I realized that I was probably operating well within my comfort zone and certain deep seated fears were preventing me from moving to the next level in my work. A couple of years ago I would have got terribly nervous about running a course, would have avoided scary senior execs and certainly would not have put myself in front of a large or hostile audience - here I am now, as cool as a cucumber, regularly standing in front of an auditorium of 100 students, chairing senior management conferences and actively seeking out hostile audiences for the thrill of the debate!'
'Another surprise of the training I received was a new area of work I found myself drawn to - coaching sportsmen and women' For example, a semi professional cyclist had left his job in order to concentrate on his cycling. He knew he had the fitness and technique but felt his mental state was the thing that was holding him back. In our first sessions we worked on visualisations of staying cool, moving smoothly 'in the zone' and using his opponents cycles as 'magnets' to pull him along with minimal effort. Later we worked on the limitations he was placing on his speed around corners and up hills. He came to me already defeated if the race had a hill in it, and left actively seeking out hill races because that's where his new mental approach gave him the edge over others and moved him smoothly up the rankings. He was last heard of doing the Tour De France in 2005!'
'I also coached an archer who was experiencing 'gold shyness' or an inability to lock onto the target. The issues here not only concerned the physical act of archery but also around more general ones of fear of success and the pressures of winning. A few sessions working on these combined with learning some new muscle memories were very effective and the archer is once again enjoying their hobby to the max.'
'I love my work and the very wide range of clients I am able to help using the techniques I learned on the Motivation Training course. With respect to my own development, I find myself with a new 'no limits' approach to all I do and am constantly amazed by the new challenges I accept without hesitation! I am now working on a book to help others who face blocks and 'stuckness'

A testimonial from Dr. Ryan Noronha
Thank you for having me on the course. I learnt a lot of useful techniques for rapid change that have come in useful with my patients. I have also benefited enormously in my personal life and I believe everybody on the course has also. We still continue to stay in touch and keep each other up to speed with where we are up to with what we've learnt.
Your energy and sense of humour in keeping us interested over three weeks of information and learning is to be commended. There was a good blend between theory and practice and all of us have a lot of case studies with positive outcomes that we can relate to.
Dr. Ryan Noronha MBBS MRCPsych A story about Rupert Raikes
After completing his training with us, Rupert Raikes went on to run a very successful private practice helping individuals and groups using Hypnotherapy, NLP and Coaching. He now runs a unique therapy centre in Goa, India using all his skills and has introduced a new one - hypnotic dance Before he left for India he had a breakthrough in his own personal development. Here is a piece by Bournemouth Echo in March 2006 - 'Rupert Raikes earned himself a place in the record books. At Meyrick Park Golf Club he fired a remarkable level par round of 68 to win the club medal - off his handicap of 24. He was a staggering 24 shots under par to post a net score of just 44 - certainly the lowest ever at Meyrick Park and possibly much further afield. Rupert only started playing golf in June the year before and adopted some of the techniques he learnt in his training in hypnosis. "It's all about visualization and programming the mind. Using it in sport can produce some amazing results" Rupert told the reporter. Stuart MacDougall of the R&A, golf's world rules and development body, believes the score could be a world record'.
Well done Rupert.
“I am already a Master Practitioner of NLP studying in Boulder, Colorado
and the UK with some of the leading lights in NLP and have to say that this is
the best course I have ever done and wish I had done it sooner”. Pamela
